LA: We continued with Procedural Writing this week and practiced the “ug” word family. We also read, “Hey Little Ant” and learned about empathy and other points of view. We had to decide whether we would squish or save the ant.
Math: We started subtraction this week and practiced the “minus zero” and “a number minus itself” strategies. We also practiced adding 10 and had another round of Math centers.
Social Studies: We made a map of our new classroom setup. Students had to choose their own key or legends for the items in our class.
We will be receiving two new students in our class on Monday and we are super excited to meet them. We have also been discussing how we can be a good friend and include others this week.
In the blog below, you will find the class list if you choose to do valentines for everyone. All valentines need to be in the class by Friday, February 5th and everyone on our list needs to be included. Unfortunately, food or toy treats cannot accompany the valentines.
