We have been working on animal research for Language Arts and Science. We have read information and wrote sentences about appearance, habitat, diet, predators or enemies, young or offspring, and will be working on animal adaptations and other interesting facts in the upcoming week.
In Social Studies, we have been learning about the past and present in relation to transportation, communication, clothing, schools, homes, and cooking. Students enjoyed the Heritage Park field trip where they learned even more about the past. We will conclude our unit with Pioneer Day on Wednesday, June 22nd. Wear your pioneer costume if you have one, otherwise it is casual clothes.
We have been focusing on measurement and reviewing addition and subtraction concepts in Math this past week.
On Monday, we will be performing the Grade Three Farewell Assembly. Please be sure to wear your formal uniform.

Hi,
We are doing a retelling of a book for the grade three farewell assembly. All students will have a small piece of paper in their backpacks today. Could you please help your child read the words fluently, so that I can record them next week?
Thanks so much for your support!
· Wow, it’s hard to believe that it is June already! I can’t believe I only have a month left with these awesome students!
· Book orders came home on Friday. Our class code is RC184098 if you would like to order some books for your child for the summer months.
· I am missing some field trip forms for both bowling and Heritage Park. Please make sure that you send them in by Monday, as your child cannot come on these trips without it.
· Pioneer Day is on June 21st. Check a blog from previous week regarding a possible costume that your child could wear.
· We have been doing many Math assessments this past week and practicing writing simple stories. Students have been writing stories that have a problem and at least one solution.
· Please be sure to do all homework tasks, as some students are just doing spelling practice. Homework is due on Friday, June 10th.
· All library books need to be returned by Wednesday, June 8th.
