Dear Parents and Students,
As part of
our Social Studies Program, we are learning about the past. Part of our study
includes our family history. Please have a discussion with your child about an
important family artifact that helps represent your cultural background.
Examples include, jewelry, recipes, decorations, clothing, flags, etc. If you
are able to send the artifact in with your child that is great. Otherwise, your
child can draw or take a picture of the artifact and bring it into school by June
1st. Your child will be
expected to answer the following questions about the artifact and will be
presenting their item and information to the class. Here are some questions
that students will be expected to answer about their family artifact.
What is
the artifact?
Who or where is it from?
What special significance does it hold for your family?
Thank you
for your cooperation and support,
Mrs.
Tudjan
