Beginning Monday, March 15, the Grade One students will be building Leprechaun
Traps. Please help your child plan and collect materials to make a leprechaun
trap. The materials and any fasteners that are required, are to be
brought to school on THURSDAY, MARCH 11. The students will be
making their trap at school in hopes of catching a leprechaun. Each trap should
fit on a school desk. Please DO
NOT make the traps at home, as this is
part of our new Science unit, entitled, Building Things. You can
draw a plan and send it into school along with the materials. Painting of any
materials can be done at home, as we will not have time to wait for the paint
to dry before putting our trap together. I do have some tape and glue at school
that can be used but if you have others you can send them in. Other
fasteners may include pipe cleaners, clothespins, paperclips, etc.
